Dr Athreya is a highly experienced local General Practitioner, having served Brentwood for thirty years. After 18 years as an NHS Partner at Mount Avenue Surgery, he commenced work as a Private GP in 2014, and is now delighted to be back in Shenfield working at Shenfield Private GP.

Dr Athreya believes in taking time to truly understand his patients as individuals, their circumstances, and what matters most to them, allowing care to be tailored in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Whilst all aspects of Family Practice are at the core of Dr Athreya's expertise, he is particularly passionate about supporting patients experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. Dr Athreya finds it deeply rewarding to help people navigate difficult periods in their lives and work towards improved wellbeing, both personally and professionally.

Alongside this, Dr Athreya has extensive experience in dermatology, aesthetics, and minor surgery. He holds a Diploma in Dermatology with distinction and a Professional BTEC Award in Laser and Aesthetic Therapies. His clinical work ranges from managing chronic skin conditions in children, such as eczema, to the careful assessment and removal of benign skin lesions and cysts, always with comfort and safety at the forefront.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr Athreya enjoys an active lifestyle, including marathon running, climbing, and keeping fit. He believes that happiness and health are closely linked and strives to support his patients in leading healthy, balanced, and fulfilling lives.

Dr Ayub Khan is an experienced NHS General Practitioner with a special interest in Dermatology and is the founder of Aesthetk. Known to many patients as Dr K, he combines evidence-based medicine with advanced skin expertise to deliver high-quality, personalised care.

Dr Khan is an International Academic Expert in Dermoscopy, he holds a Master's degree in Dermoscopy and Preventative Dermato-Oncology from the Medical University of Graz, Austria, alongside postgraduate qualifications from Queen Mary University of London and Cardiff University. His specialist knowledge allows him to provide comprehensive skin assessments, including meticulous full-body digital mole mapping for the early detection and monitoring of skin cancer.

At Shenfield Private GP, Dr Khan is committed to a patient-centred approach, ensuring patients feel listened to, informed, and involved in decisions about their care. He is known for his attention to detail, clear explanations, and calm, reassuring manner. By integrating advanced diagnostic techniques with holistic general practice, he supports patients in maintaining long-term skin health and overall wellbeing.

Dr Nana Gvazava is an NHS General Practitioner with a special interest in Women's Health and Menopause, supported by a strong background in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a Member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, reflecting her broad and in-depth clinical expertise.

Dr Nana also holds advanced qualifications in Dermatology and Dermoscopy from Cardiff University, enabling her to manage a wide range of skin concerns alongside her women's health practice. She is well known for her compassionate, holistic approach, focusing on understanding the underlying causes of symptoms rather than simply treating them in isolation.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Nana is actively involved in medical education and research. She lectures at Anglia Ruskin University and contributes to the development of clinical guidelines, ensuring her practice remains current and evidence-based.
